Jenny Blackwell ’23, Writer, Journalism Class 2022-2023
Senior, Jenny Blackwell, has been hooked on journalism ever since November of her 6th-grade year when she began learning about the 2016 presidential election. Jenny is especially excited to explore politics and their validity via her journalism pieces in The Advocate. Jenny has been an engaged student at the Albuquerque Academy since the 6th grade and has had an impact on numerous different aspects of the school throughout her time here. Jenny leads the Albuquerque Academy Feminism Club, is co-president of the Native American Affinity Group, and has added significant contributions to the Albuquerque Academy journal of art, literature, and culture, Other Voices. Jenny is a true Northeast Heights girl, with some of her favorite activities including exploring Albuquerque hiking trails and driving down Tramway Boulevard at night to get the best view of the Albuquerque City lights.
