Sophia Liem '23, DEI Coordinator
Writing for the Advocate since junior year, and now the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Coordinator, Sophia is drawn to articles that she is passionate about, most notably Dear Admin, It's Time To Address the Dress Code. She also enjoys her school community where she participates in Speech and Debate, Model UN, Student Senate, and the Fly Lab where she researches molecular genetics. In her free time, Sophia enjoys laughing, reading, watching Netflix, and playing tennis with her mom. Her obsessions include her overweight dog, Kona, and The Queen's Gambit. While she doesn't hate many things, she does hate running and the false, societal-induced, answer of "good" to the question "How are you?" She believes people are rarely actually good.
