Welcome Harrison Richardson ’27

Sixth grader, Harrison Richards is no stranger to Academy! Harrison had a sense of what Albuquerque Academy has to offer from his older brother Townes Richards, but now he gets to experience it for himself. The 6th-grade Charger went to Manzano Day School. When asked how Academy is different from Manzano Day School he said, “It seems more challenging. It’s not that much different. Just a little bit more homework.” Harrison loves playing soccer for the Rio Rapids Soccer Club as well as watching the sport. His favorite soccer player is Paul Pogba. He also likes to collect reptiles; his favorite is an Ornate Box Turtle

Unfortunately, Harrison didn’t get to attend a traditional convocation. Instead, him and his
new classmates drove in cars and the class of 2021 held up signs with the student’s names. Harrison has been managing online school pretty well but it has been hard to make friends. He has a group of friends from Manzano Day School that he regularly stays in contact with. When asked about his experience at learning online at Academy, Harrison replied, “ It was good but it was also sort of weird.” Luckily, Harrison has been keeping busy with soccer, art club, and playing the bass in the school orchestra.

Good Luck Harrison!
