Russel Hiller, has been a dedicated sports writer for The Advocate, writing since his eighth grade year. As a long-time sports aficionado, Russel is excited to bring his love for the game to a wider audience while encouraging other sports lovers to also become sports writers in their own right. Outside of The Advocate, he has dedicated himself to playing on the school’s golf team and plays piano. He also enjoys listening to music, with genres ranging from pop to country. One fun fact about Russel? He hates olives.
