Actors from grades 7-9 presented a spooky performance, Spoon River, a week before Thanksgiving break. Spoon River, a play written by Edgar Lee Masters, is all about ghosts of Spoon River, sharing their stories of past lives, past loves, past scandals, past heartbreak, and everything in between.
As the lights illuminated the stage of the little theater, you could see the narrator, sitting amongst the gravestones of a small portion of the ghosts of Spoon River. Once the play had started, the narrator, played by Nandana Nair, introduced us to each and every ghost of Spoon River, whether they had a gravestone or not. Each one of them would tell you about their past life, and how that had made them end up in the way they did…

It was a really great show, and the 7-8-9th grade students were amazing! It was so professionally executed and so beautiful in terms of staging, set, lighting, sound, and costume. Brava
