Tight Ends

Travis Kelce: Kelce continued his streak of great performances this week against the Raiders. Scoring 26.86 points, Kelce caught eight of his 10 targets for 127 yards and the game-winning touchdown. Kelce had over 100 receiving yards for the third week in a row and has proven he is the best tight end in the NFL this season. Next week he faces the Buccaneers where he should be a must-start.

Taysom Hill: Hill is by far the most interesting player this week. Although he is classified as a tight end he started at quarterback this week, because of this he scored 24.42 points this week without actually lining up in the tight end position once. This loophole gifted people who picked up Hill this week 24.42 points at the tight end position. Although this was a great tight end pick this week ESPN will most likely change Hill’s status to quarterback next week. He will not be able to be used in the tight end position but he could be a decent quarterback in the following weeks.

Darren Waller: After a surprisingly weak performance last week against the Broncos, Waller bounced back and scored 21.8 points against the Chiefs. Waller caught all seven of his targets for 88 yards and a touchdown at the start of the fourth quarter. Next week Waller faces a weak Falcons defense where he should be started.

Mark Andrews: Building off a decent performance last week Andrews put up 20.6 points this week against the Titans. Andrews caught five of his seven targets for 96 yards averaging 19.2 yards a catch. Andrews was also able to catch a 31-yard touchdown in the third quarter. Next week Andrews faces a great Steelers defense where he will be a decent choice at tight end, but it would be worth looking at other options.

Dallas Goedert: Goedert led the team in catches and receiving yards this week scoring a total of 18.7 points. Goedert caught five of his six targets for 77 yards and a touchdown in the fourth quarter of the game. With the high volume Goedert has been receiving throughout the past two weeks he should be started next week against a poor Seattle defense.

Robert Tonyan: Tonyan had a solid performance this week in an overtime loss to the Colts. Scoring 15.4 points this week, Tonyan caught all five of his targets for 44 yards and a touchdown. Tonyan’s 25-yard touchdown catch snapped a five-game touchdown drought. Although Tonyan does not have the highest volume he is still a viable option at tight end next week against the Bears who are poor at defending the tight end position.
