Quarterbacks

Deshaun Watson: Although the Texans are struggling this season, Watson is having himself a pretty good fantasy season. Finally topping the board for fantasy quarterbacks, Watson scored 31.36 points this week. He threw for 344 yards and two touchdowns along with 36 yards and another touchdown on the ground. Watson should be able to build off of this performance next week when he plays a weak Lions defense.

Justin Herbert: Herbert continues to make his case for Offensive Rookie of the Year. Herbert now has 25 touchdowns to just seven turnovers this season, and it doesn’t look like he is stopping anytime soon. Herbert scored 27.74 points off of 366 yards and three touchdowns. With no turnovers this week, Herbert was able to win his second NFL game against the Jets. He is one of the best fantasy quarterbacks and should be started every week,

Taysom Hill: In his first NFL start, Hill was able to lead the Saints to a dominant 24-9 victory over the Falcons. Hill threw for 233 yards as well as adding 51 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Hill, known for his athleticism, had a clean game with no interceptions, but he did have a single fumble. While Hill had a strong debut, don’t expect this level of success each week. However, with Drew Brees out for the foreseeable future, Hill could be a good QB2 in larger fantasy leagues.

Jared Goff: Goff put up his best performance since week five, topping 20 points for just the fourth time this season. Goff threw for 376 yards and three touchdowns, however, Goff did have two interceptions. Still, Goff was able to finish the game with 23.04 points in a Monday night victory over the Buccaneers. Goff is a very inconsistent player, however, his ability to score makes him a solid QB2, he is a good backup option if you need a last-minute pickup.

Kirk Cousins: Cousins, who is usually a lackluster fantasy quarterback, had a solid performance this week against the Dallas Cowboys. Cousins frequently connected with Adam Thielen this week and finished the game with 22.96 points. Cousins threw for 314 yards and three touchdowns. Although he had a fumble, Cousins was able to play an overall clean game. Cousins played great this week, but it was against a weak Cowboy’s defense. Cousins should not be viewed as a starting fantasy quarterback.

Ryan Tannehill: Tannehill was finally able to break out of his slump and score over 20 points for the first time since week six. Tannehill threw for 259 yards and two touchdowns while also adding 35 yards on the ground. In an overtime thriller, Tannehill was able to lead the Titans to victory. If Tannehill can continue to put up fantasy numbers like this, he can once again become one of the top tier fantasy quarterbacks. However, right now Tannehill is a low-tier QB1.
